Embarrassing Opera Seria Fact # 2:

I care deeply about shipping in La clemenza di Tito. I realized this when Vitellia ends up with Sesto at the end of the Met production, and I was very unhappy (because it's not actually specified in the libretto, and I take "e tutto asolvo" to mean, "and I'm going to marry Vitellia." ).

Anyway, I'm not sure why I actively dislike it. Oddly enough, I think it's a combination of thinking that Sesto deserves someone who isn't a manipulative bitch and wanting Vitellia's crazy plots to work out.
