Ah internets. Where else could you get from a googling of "there is a garden in her face" after a chance parody (there is a city on my desk/ where books do lie where none may read) to trying to read Dr. Faustus on perseus.tufts.edu?

This was, of course, after a journey through English verse. Chief surprises of the night: Herrick could actually write, as could Suckling - both authors I knew only from selections in Norton's Anthology, which are not representative.  Also Jonson looks like your uncle. Or maybe English teacher.

Also, this is really cool, as all early music notes are, and this is really depressing.  I mean, who knew that Henry VIII actually loved Anne Boleyn?

Basically I love this site.  And google, for introducing me to it.

Although it's still not getting my Homer done.
