So last week at camp I found out why Amazons (didn't really, because a-mazon is a false etymology) cut of one breast. When I was a camper, I shot with the bow vertical and to my side, which makes it nearly impossible for anything to hit your breasts. HOWEVER, if you shoot with the bow horizontal and in front of your chest, even if you have smallish boobs, they will be in the way. So if they shot that way, which I think is more eastern, since it was the Tibetans who were shooting that way, it actually makes sense.
